MAYVILLE- Sherena Denise Clark Titus, 69, of Mayville, NY, and formerly of Saint Charles, IL, passed away on May 7, 2024, at St. Vincent Hospital in Erie, PA, following a lengthy battle with ovarian cancer. She was born July 31, 1954, in Sheffield, AL, the daughter of the late Roland DeSoto and Barbara Jean Smith Clark.
Sherena was a 1972 Graduate of Sequoyah High School and then earned an Associate of Arts in Administrative Business from Broward Community College. It was during this time that she discovered her passion and talent for quilting and became an award-winning quilter. When she wasn’t quilting, she could be found in the kitchen cooking and baking, going for walks, spending time with her family and friends near and far, reading a cozy mystery, or out in her garden.
She was a member of the Chautauqua Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary and attended Hurlbut Memorial Community United Methodist Church in Chautauqua, NY.
Sherena is survived by her devoted and loving husband, William Madden Titus, whom she married June 12, 1982, four children: Emma Megan (Brad) Donatille of Gilberts, IL, Madden (Abigail) Titus of Stamford, CT, Tamara (David) Espinosa, of Las Vegas, NV, and Michael (Tiffiny) Titus of San Marcos, CA, seven grandchildren: Kyra and Erik Espinosa, Connor and Courtney Titus, Olivia and Evelyn Donatille, and Ruth Titus, one brother, Douglas (Leann) Clark of Okeechobee, FL, nephews Alan and Johnny Clark, and special lifelong friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
