William A. “Bill” Hanson
William A. “Bill” Hanson, 79, of Jamestown, formally of Falconer, passed away Tuesday (May 7, 2024) in the Absolut of Westfield.
A lifelong area resident he was born February 27, 1945 in Jamestown the son of the late Allan and Ethel Hollabaugh Hanson.
Bill was a 1964 graduate of Cassadaga Valley High School and a self-employed farmer for over 38 years.
He is survived by his brother Glenn (Deborah) Hanson of Falconer; his best friend James (Gloria Jean) Dunn of Gerry, NY; two nieces’: Sarah (Matthew) Binko of Florida, a nephew; Matthew Hanson of Falconer; Elizabeth Hanson of Falconer; several nieces and nephews, aunts, and cousins.
Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Mary A. (Philbrick) Hanson whom he married January 8, 1966, who died October 27, 2020.
A celebration of life will be held at The Ross Mills Church Sunday, (May 19, 2024) at 3:00 p.m.
Friends will be received by the family one hour prior to the memorial service in church on Sunday.
