Barbara G. Jennings

She was born February 14, 1925, in Oakland, CA, the daughter of the late Marshall S. and Myrtle Best Gordon.

She graduated from high school in Williamsport, PA, attended Gaucher College and graduated from Williamsport-Dickinson Junior College.

While living in Lakewood she was a 50-year member of Lakewood Women’s Club, its Book Club, Lakewood Library Book Club, Newcomers Club, and Remocwen Club. She enjoyed swimming, playing bridge, donating knitted creations, participating in senior aerobics and volunteering at the WCA Hospital Gift Shop. Being a vibrant part of family adventures was most important to her.

Surviving are four children Jaclin Scalise of Winchester, VA, Susan (Lenny) Lampo of Frewsburg, Christine (Mark) Danielson of Jamestown and Jay (Lulu Scofield) Jennings of Olympia, WA; seven grandchildren Kimberly Dengler, Michelle Danielson Faulk, Sara (Kurt) Litzau, Michael (Jessie) Lampo and Mallory, Maddy and Ben Jennings; eleven great grandchildren Mark and Nicholas Dengler, Jaxson, Trey and Morgan Faulk, Avery, Madden, Paislee and Greyson Lampo, Walker and Teagan Litzau. Also surviving are two sisters-in-law Patricia Gordon and Joanne Gordon both of California, as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two grandchildren Daniel Scalise and Meagan Danielson, a son-in-law Dan Scalise and two brothers Marshall and James Gordon.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
