Corey J. Hartman

He was born May 18, 1974 in Jamestown, the son of Ernest J. “Ernie” and Laura J. “Jeannie” Sweeney Hartman.

He was a 1993 graduate of Southwestern High School.

Corey was a member of Busti Men’s Association and was involved in the Special Olympics for many years. He enjoyed roller skating and bowling and loved sports. He was an avid fan of the Indianapolis Colts and Los Angeles Dodgers.

Corey is survived by his mother Jeannie; a son Dylan and wife Isabelle Hartman; three grandchildren Easton, Arizona, and Brielle Hartman; two uncles Ron Snyder Sr., Craig and wife Linda Hartman; aunt Sheila and Jack Avalos; and many close cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father Ernie, paternal grandparents Bob and Irene Sweeney, maternal grandmother Margaret Hartman and grandfather Albert and Janet Hartman, and aunt Roberta “Bert” Snyder.

Friends will be received from 10 am to noon (two hours prior to the service) on Thursday, June 27, 2024 in the Peterson Funeral Home, Frewsburg followed by a funeral service at noon. Immediately following the service, a celebration of life will be held at the Busti Men’s Association on Nutt Road, Jamestown.

A graveside committal service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, June 29 in the Busti Cemetery. All are welcome.
