Dennis J. Cimo

A lifelong Jamestown resident, he was born August 21, 1954, a son of Joan Swearer Cimo and the late James Cimo.

He was a 1972 graduate of Jamestown High School.

He was a veteran of the US Army Reserve where he served as a tank commander.

A member of IBEW Local 106, he worked as an electrician and earlier had worked for Choice Communications.

Dennis was a member of the Jamestown Rifle Club and was a pistol instructor. He volunteered as a mentor with Chautauqua Striders and sang with Jamestown Harmony Express.

Surviving besides his mother of Jamestown is his wife Rebecca Lapp Cimo, whom he married August 28, 1993; two sons: Owen Cimo and Nathanael Cimo, both of Jamestown; a granddaughter Chloe Cimo of Jamestown; sister Sandra Sarro of Jamestown; nephews Jason and Justin Sarro both of Jamestown; great niece Ella Sarro and a great nephew Tage Sarro.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Lind Funeral Home where friends will be received for one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.
