Dorothy L. Farren

She was born Jan. 11, 1946 in Corry, PA, a daughter of the late J. Raymond and Edith Mae Fitch Spiesman, and was a graduate of Southwestern Central School.

Lauri worked in food service at the former Murphy’s, and Friendly’s restaurants and for many years at Lutheran Social Services.

Surviving are three children Joseph C. (Sarah) Farren, II of Jamestown, Michael (Amy) Farren of Kennedy, and Patricia “Patti” (Corey) Carlson of Jamestown; five grandchildren Shawnette Nash, Patrick Nash, Kyle Nash, Katie Delahoy and Zachary Farren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two brothers: Joseph (Jane) Spiesman of Gerry, and Robert (Dolly) Spiesman of Arizona.

Along with her parents, Lauri was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph C. Farren whom she married Aug. 22, 1964 and who died April 22, 1994; and a sister, Nancy Lucas.

A funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23 in the Lind Funeral Home, led by Rev. Adam Rohler. Friends will be received from 4 to 5 p.m. prior to the service Friday.
