Jonathan F. Demarest
Jonathan F. “Jon” Demarest, 76, of Jamestown, passed away at home Tuesday, July 30, 2024. He was born Oct. 17, 1947 in Hackensack, NJ to David R. and Carolyn Fadale Demarest.
Jon attained his high school diploma at Jamestown High School and continued his education in college before becoming a longtime data entry and computer technician at WCA Hospital. A quiet, reserved man, he was a US Navy veteran, serving from 1968-1970. Jon had a passion for vehicles, owning many over the years.
He will be remembered by his sister, Hon. Carolyn E. Demarest and her husband, William Gold, of Brooklyn, NY; a niece, Rachel Gold and her husband, John Longo; a nephew, Joshua Gold and his wife, Amna Afzul; and eight great-nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 3 at 12 noon at Lake View Cemetery. Rev. Luke Fodor will officiate.
