“Sue” Mary Susan (nee Sunick) Giambrone

She was born September 12, 1952, the daughter of Albert Sunick of North Fort Myers, FL and the late Rosemary Laffey Sunick.

Sue was a graduate of Immaculata Academy in Hamburg and retired from WCA Hospital for 32 years, where she was the Emergency Department Clerk. She was also a level 3 EMT for 15-20 years with the Ellington Fire Department.

She will be remembered as a loving mom, friend, sister and grandma. She shared her knowledge to so many and she will be remembered as a hard worker and dedicated to the needs of others at all times.

Sue was an avid back yard birder. She kept her feeders full and knew when to expect the regulars and the migrating visitors. She also watched the wildlife that visited her country home. Her gardens welcomed hummingbirds and butterflies. She loved to read, but no particular genre, but anything that came to hand.

She is survived by her father Albert of North Fort Myers, Fl., a daughter; Brigit Giambrone (Chad Slade) of Steamburg, a son; Anthony (Amy) Giambrone of St. Petersburg, Fl., four grandchildren; Christian, Payton, Morrisey and Quinn, two sisters; Stacey (Bill) Marchlewski and NancySunick- Kellner, two brothers, Bert Sunick and Steve (Mary) Sunick and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her children’s father; Nelson Giambrone and her longtime partner, Dick Greene.

As per Sues wishes, there will be no visitation or formal service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date and announced by the VanRensselaer & Son Funeral Home, Randolph.
