Barbara A. Scroxton

She was born in Hornell, NY May 4, 1936, to the late Jesse and Evelyn Fairchild Sheon. Barb was a caring soul, always loving on others. The outdoors captivated her, especially the endless beauty of flowers. On the inside, Barb fancied decorating her home to the nines. She spent her professional years as a title abstractor in the oil and gas industry.

Moreover, the Vikings Lodge called Barb a proud member for 32 years. Barb and her husband, John, were married on July 14, 1956. Their later years allowed for wintering in Flagler Beach, FL. Particularly, John and Barb treasured what came to be known as the revered hometown talent show in their sunshine state’s neighborhood. Not withstanding inevitable controversy from a family of Steelers fans, Barb recently experienced the first stages of conversion from that of the Steelers Nation to the Bills Mafia.

Barb will be dearly remembered by her husband, John; son, Bruce Scroxton of BemusPoint; daughter, Linda Haney (Brian) of Indiana, PA; grandchildren: Jon Scroxton, Eddie Scroxton, Kurtis (Jaime) Scroxton, Andrew Haney, and Lindsey Haney; great-grandchildren: Hailey Trabert and Serema Haney; a brother, Jesse Paul Sheon, Jr. ofTexas; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Barb was preceded in death by her son, Edward Scroxton; a granddaughter, Melissa Trabert; and her sister, Sandy Oquist.In keeping with Barb’s wishes, no viewing or visitation will be observed.
