Amy Beth Weaver, born Dcember 4, 1937, in Silver Creek, New York, passed away peacefully surrounded by family. After dedicating many years as an election clerk in New York, she embraced a new chapter in her life when she retired to the sun-kissed shores of Destin, Florida, in 1993.
Amy found joy in the little things, from long walks along the white sand beaches with her beloved dog, Lady, to her nurturing gardens and crafting beautiful creations, including cherished baby blankets. Known for her warm spirit, she touched the lives of many with her kindness and creativity.
She was predeceased by her husband, William Weaver, her son Jeffrey Weaver, and her parents, Elmo and Helen Cookson. Also preceding her in death were her brothers, Mac and Wayne Cookson, and her sister, Sue Cookson. Amy is lovingly survived by her daughters, Sherry (Craig) Augustine and Cindy (Marc) Matthews, as well as her cherished grandchildren: Miranda (Cody) Edmondson, Carson (Alyssa) Augustine, Ellyce Augustine (Darrell Lewis), Uriah (Laura) Matthews, Bryce Matthews (Kate Hepburn), Mitchell (Lexis) Matthews, Brooks Matthews, and her eight great-grandchildren. Each of them carries a piece of her spirit in their hearts.
