Jean H. Dean

She was the widow of William N. Dean, whom she married on Jan. 15, 1955, and who passed away on Jan. 19, 2019. A resident of the area since the 1980s, Jean was born on Feb. 11, 1931, in Rochester, NY, the daughter of the late Richard and Hildegard Bachman Milbredt.

She was also preceded in death by her sister, Eleanor Daniels.

Throughout her life, Jean lived in various parts of the country due to her husband’s work with IBM. Following his retirement, they owned and operated several businesses locally and in Indiana and Florida, including the former Dean’s Restaurant and The Eatery. They cherished their time as “snowbirds” in Florida. Jean loved crafting and enjoyed sharing her creations with friends and family. She dedicated her life to serving her family and others and expressed her faith through singing in church. She will be remembered for her caring and loving spirit.

She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth M. Dean of Lancaster, PA; her grandchildren,Matthew (Chelsea) Morrill and Danielle Dean; and her great-grandchildren, Joshua and Stella Frederick. She is also survived by her son, Timothy N. (Lorraine) Dean of Falconer, NY; her grandchildren, William N. Dean II and Rebecca (Devin) Dean-Bable; and her great-grandchildren, Ryan and Sabrina Bable. Additionally, she is survived by her sister, Rosalinde Siegel of Fairport, NY.

No service or visitation will be held. The inurnment of both Jean and William Dean will be held privately at Mt. Albion Cemetery in Albion, NY. Condolences to Jean’s family may be left at www.lindfuneralhome.com.
