Marian P. Boedecker

Marian P. Boedecker, 90, of Jamestown, passed away Saturday (October 12, 2024) in Heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing.

She was born October 31, 1933 in Kane, PA, the daughter of the late Jack and Margaret Copenhaver Eck.

Prior to retirement Marian was employed by the former Crawford’s Furniture. Marian will be remembered as a loving mother and good friend to everybody. She was not only a single Mother to her children but also a father figure for her children. Marian always put others first. She was the oldest of 10 children and helped raise her siblings. Her brothers and sisters thought the world of her because of the love she had for them. She enjoyed her family, playing the organ, guitar and singing. Marian also enjoyed working on ceramics and painting them, watching Dr. Phil and her Western shows. In earlier years she enjoyed C. B. Radio and her call sign was “Spit Fire.”

Surviving are her six children: Debbie (Irv) Doud of Randolph, Ronald Stevenson (Jan) of Jamestown, Cynthia (Donald) Anderson of Warren, Christine (Dave) Ingerson of Celoron, Vicky (Marty) Meneo ofJamestown, Richard (Michelle) Boedecker Jr. of Falconer; a step son Paul Boedecker (Kerry) of Warren; 13 grandchildren: Scott (Tina) Doud, Todd (Julie) Doud, Bob (Tanya) Howard, Jenn (Mike) Noe, Nichole(Kevin) Arguelles, Larry Spontaneo, Jessica (Adam) Parker, David (Sarah) Ingerson, Crystal Ingerson, Ashley (Michael) Winship, Jena (Corey) Seymour, Michael (Amanda) Meneo, Brandon Boedecker, Aaron (Heather) Boedecker, Justin (Dana) Boedecker; 38 great grandchildren and 20 great great grandchildren;2 brothers: Dan (Trudy) Eck, Keith (Lori) Eck and a sister Loretta Knapp.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two great grandsons Jamie Haer, Trayce C.D. Haer;b rothers: Richard, John, and Jim Eck; sisters: Judy Staff, Wanda Beck, Darlene Eck; a step son Charles Boedecker and her companion Vern Shirey. At her stay at Heritage Park, she really enjoyed the Aides, Nursing Staff, and her friends that she made. Thank you for her care!

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday October 26, 2024 at Hillcrest Church, 40 Hallock St., Jamestown. Rev. Mark Hinman will officiate. Inurnment will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.

There will be a gathering in the fellowship hall of the church immediately following the memorial service.
