Frances “Fran” L. Beck, 79, of Mudd Run Road, Sugar Grove, PA, died unexpectedly at her home. Born April 23, 1945, in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Onlee Burgson Rodgers.
She is survived by her husband, Tom; 2 children, Julie Beck of Fishers, IN and Steve Beck and spouse, Laurie Decker of Russell, PA; 2 grandchildren, Noel and Jacob Beck of Indiana; a great-grandchild, Vance Miller of Busti, NY; 3 brothers, Walt (Barb) Rodgers, Wayne (Patti) Rodgers and Bryan Rodgers; and several nieces and nephews.
Fran worked on the farm, helping with the milking while raising her kids. She was retired from her employment with Betts Industries and was the owner of Ribs ‘n Bones. Fran was a VA volunteer for many years in North Warren. She enjoyed being a snowbird for the past 13 years and would have been married to her husband, Tom, for 62 years this December 1, 2024. She loved people, loved to sing, write songs, one of which was copyrighted. She loved to decorate for the seasons and the holidays; and, Christmas was her favorite.
Instead of sending flowers, please tell someone that you love them. The family suggests that if you would like to place a memorial in Fran’s honor, to please do so to the Lander Volunteer Fire Department or the Sugar Grove Volunteer Fire Department.
No services will be held per Fran’s wishes.
