Matthew Earl Heslink, 49, of 496 Mohawk St., Clymer, NY passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2024 at UPMC Hamot in Erie, PA due to a farming accident.
Matthew was born Aug. 12, 1975 in Ithaca, NY the son of Dr. Paul and Linda (Duink) Heslink.
Matthew, a follower of Christ, was a 1993 graduate of Clymer Central School and later graduated from SUNY Fredonia. He lived for many years out west and enjoyed being outdoors, skiing and mountain biking. He was a registered white water river guide in the state of California and loved to explore. He enjoyed The Rocky Mountains, Big Sky, and Lake Tahoe where he met a couple lifelong friends. Matthew returned to Clymer in 2007 to pursue his career in agriculture. He was a part owner of Seven Boys, LLC where he was a dedicated steward of the land. Matthew loved all animals, was down to earth, willing to lend a hand, and always courteous and respectful.
In addition to his parents, Matthew is survived by his brothers: Marc Heslink, Jonathan (Megan Humes) Heslink, Adam Heslink, and Andrew Heslink all of Clymer, NY, Joshua (Elaine Cook) Heslink of Harlan, IA; Nieces and Nephews: Abigail, Mattison, Hunter, Erik, Julia and Evan; and his beloved dog, Josie.
Matthew was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ivan and Dorris Heslink and Earl and Shirley Duink.
With a heart to help others, Matthew was able to give back by becoming a tissue and cornea donor.
Friends will be received at Bracken Funeral Home, 315 N. Center St., Corry, PA on Monday Dec. 30, 2024, from 6-8 pm and again on Tuesday Dec. 31, 2024 from 11 am to 12 pm until the time of the funeral service at 12 pm, Pastor Randy Carr will officiate. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, PA.
