Pauline Whitcomb

She was born August 29, 1922, in Olean, NY, a daughter of the late Louis and Cyrene Keller Kellogg.

A graduate of Tenbrook Academy, Pauline was a homemaker and preacher’s wife most of her life.

She volunteered at the WCA Hospital Snack Shop, was a babysitter for several years and became especially close to one of the children, Aaron Kobayashi.

Pauline enjoyed traveling and was a bus tour leader for over 80 trips and toured Israel 5 times.

Surviving are two daughters Paula Joy Whitcomb, with whom she made her home in North Carolina and Pamela Wilcox of Columbia, MD; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; great nieces Bonnie McCarthy and Brenda Turner and two great great nieces Megan and Reesa Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Paul Whitcomb, whom she married June 24, 1942, and who died April 26, 2006; three brothers Gerald, Dean and Robert Kellogg and two sisters Stella Weller and Alice Lorraine Childs.

The funeral will be held at noon Wednesday in Kidder Memorial Global Methodist Church. The funeral will be livestreamed at lindfuneralhome.com.

Burial will be in Green Cemetery, Great Valley, NY.

Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service in the church.
