Frederick E. Ecklund

Fred was born in Jamestown, N.Y. on May 16, 1948, the son of the late Ernest and Louise Johnson Ecklund.

Fred was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Vietnam for 13 months, during Tet Counter Offensive and three other campaigns. Fred’s unit received four Bronze Service Stars.

Surviving are two brothers: Van (Sandra) Ecklund and Steve Ecklund all of Jamestown, N.Y. and several nieces and nephews of Colorado and Massachusetts.

An Internment will be in Sunset Cemetery, Lakewood, N.Y.

A private memorial will be held by the family at a later date.
