JHS Junior Overcomes Cancer, Returns To Golf Course
Hunter Johnson was diagnosed with osteosarcoma on July 7, 2024, which just so happened to be his 17th birthday. Treatment, including chemotherapy and the removal of his left knee, was done at an Atlanta hospital. Three months after returning home, he has been a key member of the Jamestown golf team, shooting a stroke and a half better (per nine holes) than he did last season.
